Keepers of the golden age

About REPS

The Radio Enthusiasts of Puget Sound are a volunteer-run, non-profit society devoted to preserving old-time radio and keeping the art of live audio drama alive — on the air, on stage, and in the community.

A society of listeners

It began with a handful of collectors trading reel-to-reel tapes and chasing down lost broadcasts. Decades later, REPS has grown into one of the largest old-time radio archives in the country — but the mission hasn't changed.

We believe these programs are a living art form, not a museum piece. Alongside the archive, our company stages new live productions, mentors the next generation of voice and Foley artists, and brings radio drama to schools and senior centers across the Sound.

Our values

Preserve

We rescue fragile transcription discs and reels, de-noise them, and digitize the results before they're lost for good.

Perform

Our company stages live re-creations of classic scripts — full cast, organ, and hand-made sound effects.

Share

Everything we restore goes online, free to anyone, forever. No paywalls, no exceptions.
